The [holiday] Weekend

You know I love a long weekend; it's one of the greatest gifts from above, in my opinion. I wish my summer was laced with more 3-day weekends but that's something that can't be changed now that summer's almost over (insert sad face). Anyway, this weekend was fun. John and I went to dinner at a new place here, went out for drinks and had the loveliest picnic. I wanted to have a picnic before summer ended and I'm glad we finally got around to making it happen...especially since it was officially 6 months since we wed this past weekend. Six months isn't really a long time but I really can't believe it's been 6 months already since our wedding - crazy how time flies.

Anyway, as I get ready for a short work week, I'm secretly hoping that it sort of flies by...in a good way.

The holiday weekend ended with a little bit of work even though it was Labor Day. But this is what I call "fun" work. I met up with my friend Jennifer to work on some of our side hustle things or as I like to sometime refer to it as our 5 - 9pm jobs.

Hope everyone had a lovely and enjoyable weekend!
